Research Overview

My main research focus at Lancaster Law School revolves around Public International Law, International/Regional Human Rights Law, Legal History and the Sociology of Law. Understanding law as a product of different social interactions and power dynamics, I am interested in studying the complex process that led to the creation of human rights law (with special attention to the Arab human rights system). This requires the deployment of a multidisciplinary approach that captures the historical, social, cultural and political influences on lawmaking.
