Organised by Stuart Nicholls, Kristin Voigt and Dr Garrath Williams at Lancaster University, with 33 attendees, sponsored by the Society for Applied Philosophy and the Institute of Medical Ethics.

Speakers were Dr Sonia Tucci (Liverpool), Professor Jennie Popay (Division of Health Research, Lancaster), Professor Soren Holm (Manchester University), Dr Kalle Grill (Uppsala and Keele Universities), Dr Pauline Emmett (University of Bristol), and Dr Maria Piacentini (Management School, Lancaster).
