Step 2 - Activities Checklist
Even through you must attend a CEEC workshop before submitting your Activities Checklist; you should be using it as a record of the activities you undertake whilst at Lancaster University, so you can be completing it at any time.
The Activities Checklist is a record to show that you have completed all of the required parts of the award. It will help you in the future remember what activities you've undertaken whilst at Lancaster.
Fill in all the bits on the form and remember to include the contact details and job title of a person who can confirm your participation in each activity. This enables you to build up a list of references for future use.
You need to show us that you have undertaken activities in the following areas:
1. Employability/career development (x4)
CEEC run a wide range of courses to aid you with enhancing your employability and help you with your career development. In this section you must have attended at least one "Insight" course run by CEEC and three other CEEC endorsed courses/workshops.
2. Campus Activity
Show that you've gotten involved with campus life - such as being on a College JCR, Sports Team Exec or an active member of a society.
3. Community Activity
You shoudl complete an off-campus volunteering activity such as working in a charity shop or volunteering at the Citizen's Advice Bureau.
4. Work experience
Here we ask that you complete a period of work experience, this can be a part time job or a summer placement and it can be paid or unpaid.
For examples of the kind of activities you might consider in any of these sections, see our list of activities. Or have a look at the success stories of those students who completed the Award last year to gain inspiration and ideas.
