Employability and Career Development
For the Lancaster Award you must complete at least 4 activities in this areaCEEC run a wide range of courses to aid you with enhancing your employability and help you with your career development. As part of the Lancaster Award we require you to participate in one of the CEEC 1-day ‘Insight' courses. Courses include: Insight into Teaching, Insight into Business and Management, Insight into Creative and Media Careers, Insight into Project and Event Management, Insight into Enterprise and Employability. Details of the programmes can be found here. In addition to this we ask that you complete three other activities in this area, these could be courses offered by CEEC, or perhaps an external course in the employability area. For examples of the kind of activities you might consider in any of these sections, see our list of activities. This is intended to be a starting point only, you may wish to suggest other activities that you feel would help you gain the skills needed. Our emphasis is not on your activities, but what you have learnt from them and how you reflect on your experiences.
Once you feel you have completed activity in this area, make a note of it on the activities checklist. This can be updated as you complete activities in each area. Then refer back to the Skills Bank and be sure to note where you have achieved a new skill and how you achieved it.
