Step 5 - Interview
The following information is only for students who have submitted for the October 29th 2012 deadline only:
After you have completed the Lancaster Award paperwork; you will be invited to attend a 15-20 minute panel interview. There will normally be an employer and at least one member of University staff or the Lancaster Award team on the panel.
In the interview you will be asked questions that are based around the five areas that you have worked towards to complete the Award.
The panel will make the final judgement on whether you have reached the standard required for the Award.
If successful, you will then be invited to a Lancaster Award Ceremony, held later in the year (usually in June), where you will receive a certificate to confirm your completion of the scheme. In addition, the Lancaster Award will appear on your official University transcript.
If the panel feel that you have not reached the required standard at the interview stage, you will be provided with feedback and invited to attend a further interview at a later date, after having completed Interview Coaching with the CEEC. You will only have two opportunities for interview.
