IMPORTANT: Changes to the Lancaster Award

Please note the following important changes regarding the Lancaster Award for students completing the Award in 2012 only.

The Lancaster Award team are making the following changes to the Award and the submission deadlines which apply to students submitting in 2012 only (this does not include one-year postgraduates). Further changes will be made for those submitting in 2013 onwards (details to follow).

Activities Checklist must be completed before Skills Bank.
All of your activities and your Activities Checklist must be completed before you submit your Skills Bank. As such, the deadline is the 29th October 2012, though we strongly suggest you complete it at the earliest opportunity to allow you to work on your Skills Bank.

There will be a number of Insight courses available before 29th October if this is the only activity you have yet to complete. All other activities should be completed before you return to University after the summer.

Skills Bank deadline is Monday 29th October 2012.
Your completed skills bank must be submitted between July 2012 and 9.00am Monday 29th October 2012. You must have completed your Activities Checklist before submitting your Skills Bank and no Skills Banks will be accepted after this date.

Although we have set a deadline, we strongly encourage you to submit your Skills Bank earlier than this to give yourselves enough time to receive feedback on your Skills Bank and make changes to it before you complete and submit your Application Form.

Application Form deadline is Monday 10th December 2012.
We will accept application forms up until 9:00am Monday 10th December. Your Skills Bank must have been assessed and completed before you submit your Application Form. No Application Forms will be accepted after this date.

One resubmission rule.
Only one resubmission is permitted at the Skills Bank and Application Form stage.

We understand that you may find this challenging and so we are available at CEEC throughout the summer for appointments on campus or by email to provide support. We strongly recommend that you make use of our services and get help with your paperwork so that you can pass the stages.

The earlier you make use of our services, complete the paperwork and pass each stage the more confident you will be in applying for the graduate jobs as soon as they are advertised – usually from October onwards.
