The Student Portal provides students with a gateway to the learning spaces for their enrolled modules. It also provides access to their email, calendar, timetable, library resources and much more.
From the 12/13 academic year virtual learning spaces are hosted in either Moodle or Sakai. You can access all of your learning spaces via the Student Portal. You can use LUVLE to access any of your learning spaces from prior to the 12/13 academic year.
The MyPlace system is now read only and you can still login to export any existing content. You can now develop your portfolio and perform PDP using the Mahara ePortfolio system.

Virtual Classroom/ Online Meeting/ Webinar Software
LTG are now supporting a new tool for webinars and online meetings/classrooms, called Adobe Connect. This is a 1 year pilot running from June 2009 - June 2010. You can use this system to teach a class to distance learning students, to meet with colleagues for research purposes, or to bring a guest lecturer in without the cost or hassle of travel.
