1. Why can't I login to any LUVLE webspaces or My Modules?
You need a Windows network username and password to login to LUVLE and you can only access webspaces that you are registered to teach on. See Q4.
Make sure you are not putting lancs\ in front of your username, this prefix is not necessary and won't work. Most LUVLE web spaces use https:// (encrypted) web connections, if you have a very old browser you may not be able to connect. For further details see: http://luvle.lancs.ac.uk/home.nsf/H
2. Can I change my network password from my home/off campus?
You can change your campus network password by using this web form:
https://www.lancs.ac.uk/iss/password/change
3. I have changed my password but still cannot login to LUVLE webspaces - what should I do?
Access to LUVLE web spaces is based on information held on LUSI, you will only have
automatic access to sites for courses on which you teach. Check that the module that you are trying to access is listed on your My Modules page. If it isn't then it may be that the information in LUSI is incorrect, see Q4.
4. What do I do if the information on my 'My Modules' page is wrong?
The information on your MyModules page is taken from LUSI which is maintained by the Student Registry. The information on your MyModules page is dependent on LUSI being accurate and up to date. Contact your department's LUSI representative or the Student Registry if you think your details are out of date, otherwise please contact Learning Technology: iss-service-desk@lancaster.ac.uk
5. What do I do if I have forgotten my Windows network login name and/or password?
Please go to ISS Reception in the Library with your Library card as ID and ask for your password to be reset. Then you should change it yourself as described in Q2.
6. How do I set up a web site to support my teaching?
Send a short email to iss-service-desk@lancaster.ac.uk explaining briefly what you want to do. We have a range of standard web site designs that can be customised (by making selections online) to suit most needs. We may also be able to do more bespoke designs if time allows.
