1. I have changed my password but still cannot login to LUVLE- what should I do?
Access to LUVLE sites is based on course registration, normally you will only have access to sites for courses that you are registered for. Check that the module that you are trhing to access is listed on your MyModules page. If it isn’t then it may be that the information in LUSI is incorrect. If you have recently switched courses then it may take a little while for the system to catch up with these changes.
2. What do I do if the information on my MyModules page is incorrect?
The information on your MyModules page is taken from the Lancaster University Student Information System (LUSI). The Student Registry maintains this and the information on your MyModules page is dependent on LUSI being accurate and up to date. If you have recently switched courses then it may take a little time for the system to catch up with these changes, otherwise please contact us by e-mail (iss-service-desk@lancaster.ac.uk )
3. Could my e-mail and network passwords be different?
The login name for Windows and email are the same but they are actually on different systems and can have different passwords. If you change your Windows network password, your email password will (usually) be synchronised soon after but it can take up to a day. If you just change your email password, the Windows password is not altered.
4. Can I access MyModules, online tests and LUVLE spaces off campus?
You can access all LUVLE tools on and off campus. LUVLE is web-based, so you only need an Internet connection and your Windows network username and password.
5. Can I change my Windows network password from my campus room/ off campus?
Yes, if you are off campus and need to change your Windows network password, please go to the following website where you can do it online:
https://www.lancs.ac.uk/iss/password/change
6. What do I do if I have forgotten my Windows network username and/or password?
If you can't login to the network or have forgotten your username/password, please go to ISS reception in the Library with your LibraryCard as ID and ask for your password to be reset.
Please note: You need to change your password yourself afterwards by logging in on a PC in the Library or online (see above).
7. I have changed my password, but still cannot login to my module's LUVLE space - what do I do next?
Access to LUVLE spaces is based on course registration, normally you will only have access to the LUVLE spaces for courses that you are registered for. Check that the module that you are trying to access is listed on your MyModules page. If it isn't, then it may be that course registration information is out of date (see below).
8. What do I do if the information on my MyModules page is incorrect?
The information on your MyModules page is taken from the Lancaster University Student Information System (LUSI). The Student Registry maintains this and the information on your MyModules page is dependent on LUSI being accurate and up to date. If you have recently switched courses then it may take a little time for the system to catch up with these changes, otherwise please contact us.
9. I can login to my email but not to LUVLE. Why?
The login username for Windows and email are the same but they are actually on different systems and can have different passwords. While you may not need to change your password for your email account, you do need to do so in order to access LUVLE the first time (see above).
