The Lancaster University Virtual Learning Environment is a web-based environment designed to support and enhance your learning experience at Lancaster University.
MyPlace is your private and social web space to record and share reflections on your learning as well as support your own personal development.
In addition to MyPlace, Postgraduate Reseachers have an additional structured tool available to help you assess your skills, record your professional development plan and dialogue with your supervisors.
Module Evaluation (LUMES)
Every module at Lancaster University is evaluated by students using an online questionnaire.
Online Assessment
Some departments may use the university’s online assessment tool, called Questionmark Perception , to administer quizzes and tests on the web.
A program called Turnitin is used to help avoid plagiarism (and write better essays). This product is usually used by staff in a department, but some departments run cources that allow students to use Turnitin directly under supervision in order to help them write better essays.
