The link from the email does not work.
In some mail readers, the link can be quite large and can sometimes span more than one line. If this is the case, when you click on the link, only the first part is used. There are three options to fix this problem.
Firstly, an alternative to using the link in the email is to use the link that appears in your MyModules page. This can be found at http://luvle.lancs.ac.uk/luvle.nsf and once logged in, the link entitled “my module evaluations” will take you to the same page as the link in the email. Secondly, in your email reader, there should be an option that allows you to view the email as HTML (its original format) which will show the link as a clickable line of text. Lastly, you can simply copy and paste the two lines comprising the link from the email into your web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or Firefox).
The module that I am being asked to evaluate has not started or has not yet finished.
The module evaluation process is automated and relies upon data that is stored centrally regarding modules. Sometimes, this data can be incorrect, which can mean that a module is evaluated at the wrong time. If you receive a request to evaluate a module incorrectly, send an email to iss-service-desk@lancaster.ac.uk explaining the error and they can arrange to rectify the problem.
I am being asked to evaluate a module that I have not taken.
The module evaluation process is automated and uses the University’s student records database to determine which students are registered on a module. If you have been asked to evaluate a module that you are not taking, this is because you are incorrectly registered on this module. In order to rectify this, you need to contact your department or student registry (in University House). Once you have been de-registered, the information will automatically filter through to the module evaluation system.
What happens to the results of my evaluation?
When a module evaluation finishes, all the results are compiled together and normally sent to the Head of Department and Module Convenor. In all departments, the data is used as part of the module’s annual review. In some departments the summary data is disseminated to the students (you should contact your department to find out if this the case).
I made a mistake and evaluated the wrong module, can I do it again?
All responses to a module’s evaluation are anonymous and so it would be impossible to find a particular person’s completed evaluation to amend. This means that once completed, an evaluation cannot be amended or re-done.
