Dr. Paul Rodaway, Director of the Centre for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching, presents an iPod Nano to Esme Young.

Esme Young is our 1000th MyPlace user!  She has used MyPlace ‘…for course advice from classmates, commenting on a few other student articles to give them support, and to try to contact other students in my modules.’  Esme is a second year student in Politics and International Relations.

MyPlace http://myplace.lancs.ac.uk is your private and social web space to record and share reflections on your learning, explore your goals and aspirations, think about future careers, and support your personal development. It is based on the increasingly familiar tool of web log or blog.  It offers the additional security of being available only to on-campus students and staff. It has a primary purpose as an educational tool but it also has the flexibility to support social networking amongst Lancaster students & staff. It is programmed here at LU by the Learning Technology Group of CELT.
