A core commitment of the University Learning, Teaching & Assessment Policy (see attached below) is to provide a student-centred learning environment and to support their personal development. MyPlace http://myplace.lancs.ac.uk is an online tool which provides students with a personal space to recording and share reflections on their learning, explore their goals and aspirations, and future careers. It is based on the increasingly familiar tool of web log or blog, but has a number of additional features to assist students in reflecting on their learning experience at Lancaster. MyPlace is available to all students - undergraduate, taught postgraduate and research students. Departments have the opportunity to customise the tool to the specific programmes.
Please email the Learning Technology Group Helpdesk on iss-service-desk@lancaster.ac.uk if you have any queries regarding MyPlace.
Results from the MyPlace survey conducted in 2008.
