The Effective Teaching Website - provides advice and
guidance, and links to a wide range of resources to support the development of teaching, learning & assessment practice. In addition to briefing papers and annotated resource links, during 2009-2010 additional resources on curriculum design will be published. Also included are materials from conferences and events such as the following on internationalisation.
The Educational Development team - provides a broad range of accredited teaching development for academic staff, postgraduate teaching assistants, part-time staff and other staff who support student learning. Current provision includes the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice, the Supporting Learning Programme , Survival Skills days and various targetted continuing professional development workshops . Core provision is accredited by the Higher Education Academy and there is a portfolio of Staff & Educational Development Association recognised CPD awards.
Student Learning Development is now provided through a Faculty-based provision. A Student Learning Advisor is located in each Faculty. Further details are available at the Effective Learning web site.
eLearning - The Learning Technology Group information on tools availble at Lancaster and how to make effective use of them. This section includes guidance on LUVLE, MyPlace, MyPGR, Computer-Based Assessment, Plagiarism Detection, the Student Module Evaluation service (LUMES), and examples of effective eLearning practice.
