
Are there any restrictions on who users can share their MyPlace blogs with?
Can members of staff have a Myplace account?
Yes, staff are encouraged to have a MyPlace account and to use the tool themselves for personal reflection
Can I see what students are writing in their blogs?
Blogs are private to the author. If the author chooses to share their blog with you, then you can read and post a comment/feedback on the blog entry.
How will I know if my students are using MyPlace?
General data on MyPlace accounts, number of blogs and activity levels will be available.
Are there any restrictions on who users can share their MyPlace blogs with?
Yes. MyPlace is only available to members of the University and students can only share individual blog entries with other students or staff of the University.
What about inaccurate, inflamatory or derogatory blog entries?
All users of MyPlace must sign a declaration to abide by the acceptable use requirements for the tool and anyone receiving a blog they feel controvenes these requirements should immediately inform the administrator. The relevant account will be suspended pending investigation and all contested material withdrawn public view. Students can only, however, share blogs to a named individuals and cannot publish them on the WorldWide Web.
