MyPGR
For Postgraduate Reseachers, there is the dedicated MyPGR tool - an additional structured web tool available to help you record your professional development efforts. The Development Needs Analysis and Skills Development Record allow you to monitor your progress and identify your training needs. The Supervisory Meetings Record allows you to keep an accurate record of meetings and important decisions made with your academic supervisor.

MyPlace (https://myplace.lancs.ac.uk/) is your private and social web space to record and share reflections on your learning, explore your goals and aspirations, think about future careers, and support your personal development. It is based on the increasingly familiar tool of web log or blog.
CEEC
Centre for Employability Enterprise and Careers - Careers service runs courses for PhD students. The courses run in the Summer term and have finished for this year. You can also book an appointment with a Careers Advisor to have a chat about future options, ideas and work experience.
Library
Make sure you know how to efficiently and effectively search the Library database and e-journals by attending a training session. Knowing how to maximise your search parameters can save hours of wasted effort.

British Science Association Media Fellowships are intended to create a greater awareness and understanding of the workings of the media among practising scientists, social scientists, clinicians and engineers.
The Fellowships provide placements working with a national press, broadcast or internet journalist. During placements of between 3 and 8 weeks Fellows learn to work within the conditions and constraints of the media to produce accurate and well informed pieces about developments in science.
