Supported Curricula Information
This page provides a list and brief summary of the curricula that the Cisco Centre supports. Cisco Certified Network Associate
The Cisco CCNA curriculum includes four separate modules. These modules cover the learning objectives of the CCNA certification exam, which is the first step in a Cisco career-certification path. The curriculum emphasizes the use of decision-making and problem solving techniques to resolve networking issues.
CCNA students learn how to install and configure Cisco switches and routers in local and wide-area networks using various protocols, how to provide Level 1 troubleshooting service, and how to improve network performance and security. Additionally, the CCNA curriculum provides training in the proper care, maintenance, and use of networking software tools and equipment. IT Essentials
IT Essentials: PC Hardware and Software v4.0 covers the fundamentals of computer hardware and software as well as advanced concepts. Students who complete this course will be able to describe the internal components of a computer, assemble a computer system, install an operating system, and troubleshoot using system tools and diagnostic software. Students will also be able to connect to the Internet and share resources in a network environment. New topics included in this version include laptops and portable devices, wireless connectivity, security, safety and environmental issues, and communication skills.
Hands-on lab activities will continue to be an essential element of the course. In support of this, virtual learning tools are integrated into this course. The Virtual Laptop and Virtual Desktop are stand-alone tools designed to supplement classroom learning and provide an interactive "hands-on" experience in learning environments with limited physical equipment.
As a CompTIA Authorized Quality Curriculum, PC Hardware and Software v4.0 will help prepare students for the new CompTIA A+>> certification exams. Instructors have the flexibility to teach the course based on any or all of the certification exams.

IP Telephony
The Cisco IP Telephony version 1.0 course provides an introduction to converged voice and data networks as well as challenges faced by its various technologies. The course presents Cisco solutions and implementation considerations to address those challenges.
This is a supplementary curricula for academies that currently deliver the CCNA curriculum or above. There is no direct support relationship that needs to be established with us in order for you to deliver this course. However, ICT Focus will not support your college unless you attend ICT Focus for instructor training.
