Advisory System
The Advisory System aims to provide support for each student independently of their academic departments. Your Advisors are senior members of Cartmel College (either members of staff or postgraduate students) and will be available for help and advice throughout your time at Lancaster but especially in your first year. Advisors work in pairs, so you will have two: you are free to contact either or both at any time.
Your Advisors are people you can talk to. The first few weeks of University can be confusing as you confront what can seem to be an intimidating new environment. Your Advisors, however, will know the system and be able to provide answers to many of your queries. If they don't know the answer themselves, they will know who to point you towards! Please don't feel shy about contacting your Advisors, they are here to help with any questions or problems, no matter how big or trivial.
