Hello! I'm Barbara and if you are very lucky I might let you share my college for a year or so. My job is to implement College Management decisions, that's the paper shuffling bit. I also spend a lot of time talking with students. I am not an academic and I don’t know anything, but I know a lot of people who do so, if you have a question, ask me and I will point you in the right direction.

Welcome to Grizedale! I hope you are settling in well. I am Matt, the Senior Advisor, and my role is to ensure the smooth running of the Welfare and Advisory system within the college. As a Lancaster graduate myself I now work in Information Systems Services as a Network Specialist. Each student is allocated a personal advisor within the college who will be their point of contact for any queries or support issues they may have throughout their time at the university. You will meet your Advisor during your first week, usually on the first Monday at 12:00pm in your kitchen area. If you have any questions, drop me a line and say hello!

The four Porters are the Grizedale College Security and you will probably see more of them than any of our other college colleagues. They support the college 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and are there for any issues that happen outside of normal working hours. They always look forward to meeting new and returning students and to giving you the keys to your new home in Freshers' Week!
