CHRISTMAS BALL 2009

The College Christmas Ball will take place on
Wednesday, 2nd December from 7.30 p.m. at The Park Hall Hotel, Charnock Richard.

After a number of years at the Wintergardens in Blackpool, the College has decided this year to organise the Christmas Ball at The Park Hall Hotel. The menu for the evening is superb and we are sure to have a lovely evening. All Senior Members of the College are welcome to purchase a ticket to join the party. Ticket price £33. Pendle Tutors are entitled to a free ticket to this event. I am sure you will enjoy this evening and the good company. The evening will run as follows:

6.30 p.m.	Staff Coach (pick-up points on the way – let Jill have your address)
7.30 p.m.	Wine Reception
8.15 p.m.	Dinner Menu: Silver service in The Lancastrian Suite:

Carousel of two melons with fresh exotic fruits and a sharp orange and Grand Marnier coulis

Winter vegetable and sherry broth with herb croutons

Succulent roasted Cheshire turkey served with thyme and raisin seasoning, chipolatas, cranberry sauce and natural pan gravy, with battoned carrot and swede, buttered Brussels sprouts and roasted potatoes

Vegetarian option
Roasted peppers filled with vegetable cous cous and minted yoghurt
Or
Penne pasta with wild woodland mushrooms, sage and garlic in a light cream sauce

Winter Berry cheesecake with a rich raspberry coulis dusted with powdered sugar

Piping hot plum and sultana pudding drenched in finest rum and smothered by a creamy rum Sauce

Warm mince pies and freshly brewed coffee

Dress: Formal: DJ or smart.

Photographs of the evening will be available for £5 for a 6” x 4” photograph in a folder. A4 photo in folder for £15.

Music for the evening will be provided by Full Fat Funk and Pendle student, Amy Hillary will be singing one or two songs to delight the partygoers.

Anne Stubbins, Pendle’s Senior Tutor will be available in the Meetings Room in Pendle admin foyer each Wednesdays from 1.00 p.m. until 2.00 p.m. You don’t have to make an appointment to see Anne…just come along.
