WELCOME TO THE BUDDHISM CAMPUS HOMEPAGE
Some are drawn to find out about Buddhism to try out its rich tradition of meditation, some to find a deeper perspective on their lives or ways to help them resolve or come to terms with difficult issues. Others are interested in Buddhist ideas. All are welcome to Buddhist activities on campus.
On campus there are various ways to learn about Buddhism and meditation, different traditions and styles of practice. You can try things out and see what resonates for you.
Click on the Buddhist tab above this notice and a clickable menu will appear giving details about Buddhist groups which meet on campus and in the Lancaster area. At each you will receive a warm welcome and can explore whether their style and approach suits you or not.
In Intro week there will be a session 5-6pm on Thursday 7th October entitled, “Practising Meditation and Buddhism” in the Chaplaincy Centre Quiet Room. It will include an explanatory visit to the Buddhist meditation Room and inform you about campus and town Buddhist groups.
For up to date details of campus Buddhist activities, contact Sandra Cirtina, Chaplaincy Centre Secretary on 01524 594071, or Paul Taylor, Buddhist Contact, on 01524 593621, who can put you in touch with other Buddhist groups in the area.
