LOCAL BUDDHIST GROUPS MEETING IN LANCASTER AND DISTRICT

Each group / Centre in town welcomes newcomers and provides introductions to Buddhism and also gives meditation instruction. Each tradition has in its own way adapted Buddhist teaching to Western cultural styles. By visiting the groups you will be able to assess whether they suit you and to see whether the style of practice there resonates for you.

It seeks to be neither an importation of Buddhism to the West nor an adaptation of it; it seeks to be a re-expression of Buddhism in its new surroundings.
