The Centre for North-West Regional Studies runs a number of postgraduate
courses in Lake District Studies.
These courses include guided field weekends with course tutors in various parts of the Lake District.
Ian Whyte's Gallery displays a choice selection of images taken around the Lake District depicting the majestic beauty of this region of the country.
Professor Ian Whyte is the Course Director of the Postgraduate Lake District Studies courses.

The photographs were taken during the 2003 'Ecology of the Lake District' Field Weekends led by the late Alan Shepley. They show students visiting the Dorothy Farrer Reserve at Staveley, Troutbeck Park Farm and Meathop Moss Reserve.
