Environmental Management System

An environmental management system is currently being developed to manage the significant environmental aspects of the University's activities. The environmental management system will aim to minimise the negative impacts that our activities have on the environment, through a programme of targets and actions

Environmental Policy

The Environmental Policy has now been approved and is available to read here.

The Environmental Policy sets out the broad environmental principles to be adopted throughout the University. The policy will be delivered through the environmental management system.

All members of the University are asked to help to improve our environmental performance. A detailed environmental programme will be developed, with specific actions to be taken to meet environmental targets. However, we can all contribute already by saving energy and water, and recycling waste materials.

Processes and Procedures

A series of processess and procedures are being developed to ensure compliance with environmental law and with the Environmental Policy. As the documents become available, they will be added to these pages.

Please be aware that as processes and procedures are updated, you are encouraged not to refer to previous printed copies. Up-to-date versions will be available on this web site, using the links on the left of this page.
