The holiday in the central administration will be taken as follows:
(i) Christmas and New Year
The Vice-Chancellor has authorised that, this year, the University will close at 5.00 pm on Friday 23rd December 2011 and will re-open at 9.00am Tuesday 3rd January 2012.
(ii) Easter
The University will close at 5.30 pm on Wednesday 4th April 2012 and reopen at 9.00 am on Thursday 12th April 2012(iii) Bank Holidays 2012

5th June - Queen's Diamond Jubilee
27th August
It is recommended that these periods should be used throughout the University, but Heads of Departments may make other arrangements as necessary. Where staff are required to work during the Christmas and Easter closure periods, replacement days will be granted.
