The University holds two licences, which enable LUTV to record programmes from broadcast output.
LUTV can only record standard definition "Freeview" channels. The ERA licence allows us to record most cable, terrestrial, and non-subscription satellite programmes, the only exception being programmes produced by the Open University and Open College. These are subject to a separate licence agreement, details of which are available from Annette Lawrence in the Library - ext. 92522 email a.lawrence@lancaster.ac.uk
LUTV can record many programmes simultaneously to DVD. We can also record programmes for viewing via Moodle subject to the ERA and O.U. licence limitations.
Making a booking
Call, or email LUTV and provide the following information.
- Programme title
- Channel (e.g. BBC1, ITV3)
- Date, start time and end time
- Record onto DVD or for use in Moodle.
- If you wish to record a series,
please indicate whether you require more than one episode per DVD. (The limit is 2.5 hours on one DVD.)
