Accidents and Dangerous Occurrences
The University is required to comply with the Reporting of injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995.
This guidance provides advice on the circumstances and manner in which the Safety Office should be notified of any injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrences.
Duties and Responsibilities
Heads of Departments
- to ensure that arrangements are in place for notifying the Safety Office of any injuries, diseases, dangerous occurrences, deaths or major injuries
Injured Person
- to ensure that a University of Lancaster Accident/Incident Report form is completed and brought to the attention of the person responsible for reporting the accident
