Guidance on Safety Inspections Carried out by a Trade Union appointed Safety Representative
The aim of this guidance is to describe the procedure by which Safety Inspections are carried out by Trade Union appointed representatives under the Safety Representatives and Safety Committees Regulations.
Safety representatives have the legal right to inspect their workplace. The procedure for carrying out inspections and taking any subsequent remedial action is described.
Duties and Responsibilities
