Discussion ListDialogue North West has established a discussion list allowing interested parties to communicate with each other, thus enabling everyone involved in Literacy, Language and Numeracy to exchange views and become involved in carrying out and/or using research to inform their practice. The discussion list has been set up through JISC Mail. JISC is the joint information systems committee who advise and support higher education in relation to ICT for research, teaching and learning. JISC Mail is a mailing list service sponsored by the JISC for the UK HE and FE communities, enabling members to stay in touch and share information by e-mail or via the web. In order to maintain a high level of security for the discussion list and keep your e-mail addresses private, you need to join individually. To join, please contact Sue McCulloch at sue.mcculloch@ntlworld.com. If you are already a member, use the link to access the discussion list archive. General information about the discussion listAccessing the discussion list archive You can access the archive via http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/nw-sfl-rf.html which will take you straight to the archive page. Posting to the discussion list Messages can be put onto the list following the above links and going into the link ‘post to the list’. In addition it is possible to post to the list directly by sending an e-mail to nw-sfl-rf@jiscmail.ac.uk. Once you have sent your email (or message) it will appear in the archive on the discussion page and will be possible to follow the discussion. When responding to an e-mail you need to ‘reply to all’ otherwise it will only go back to the person who sent the original mail and not to the whole list and therefore not to the discussion list archive. We hope you will make full use of the list, if you have any questions please do contact Sue McCulloch at sue.mcculloch@ntlworld.com. |
