The Lancaster disability studies conferences have brought together researchers, practitioners, policy makers and activists from around the world, to share and debate research, ideas and developments in disability studies. The 2012 conference is co-sponsored by Disability & Society and Routledge/Taylor & Francis.

Confirmed keynote speakers are:

  • Chris Grover, Lancaster University, UK.
  • Rob Imrie, Kings College London, UK.
  • Kristjana Kristiansen, NTNU, Norway.
  • Sonali Shah, Leeds University, UK.

Online booking is now available via the Lancaster University Online Store. Early bird fees available until 15th June. Delegate fees have been held at 2010 prices. Bookings will close on 30th July. More information can be found on the booking information page.

The dates for the 2014 and 2016 conferences are as follows:

Tuesday 9th - Thursday 11th September 2014.

Tuesday 6th - Thursday 8th September 2016.

The fifth international disability studies conference took place at Lancaster University on Tuesday 7th - Thursday 9th September 2010.
