Tim Crouch - ENGLAND

As part of the collaboration between the Experimentality programme and the Nuffield Theatre, the triple award-winning ENGLAND traveled the trade routes of art and human beings through space and across borders.

"Forget thoughts of skinheads or nostalgia, ENGLAND is about an empire of a different kind – one of transmigration and transplantation. It’s the story of one thing placed inside another: a heart inside another person’s body, a culture inside another country’s culture, a play inside an audience and a theatre inside a gallery."
