Lancaster University has had an Environmental Policy since 2005. The policy is a statement of the University's environmental principles and is designed to set out a framework within which the University manages its Environmental responsibilities. By its very nature the Environmental Policy contains general principles for action rather than very detailed actions, procedures and targets. The details of how the environmental policy is implemented are set out in the environmental management system.
