Lancaster University’s Facilities team have been shortlisted for Association of University Directors of Estates (AUDE) 2024 Estates/Facilities Team of the Year Award. The award recognises Facilities and Estates teams that exhibit exceptional team working leading to significant achievement.

As one of the three shortlisted teams for this award, the University’s Facilities team will be awarded either a gold, silver, or bronze award at the 2024 Aude Awards. AUDE identify and nominate teams, projects and individuals who have made a significant contribution to enhancing excellence and ensuring university estates provide best value to support the institutional mission and promote professionalism, efficiency, and effectiveness. The University has been nominated for the award alongside the Nottingham Trent Cleaning Services and University of Aukland Property Services teams.

The annual AUDE Awards focus on some the country’s fantastic estates and facilities teams, and their contributions to the success of UK universities and the wider sector. The awards present an opportunity for the wider UK university estates community to come together to share knowledge, recognise achievement and learn from best practice taking place across the industry. David Hounslea, Director of Estates, Facilities and Commercial Services said: “It’s an honour to be nominated for this award in what is a very competitive sector. We are on a journey to achieve our goal of Best Campus University in the UK and have a world-class team to help reach our destination and continue to support the University. This nomination is another sign that we are moving closer to our goal.”
