PlacementsPlacements provide the opportunity for students to integrate knowledge, skills and values within social work practice settings. The availability of placements is beyond the control of the University and therefore choice is limited. However, we do ensure that all students have the opportunity to meet the Standards of Proficiency for social work.
AssessmentThe BA (Hons) Social Work is assessed by coursework and examinations and professional evaluation during the two practice placements. This professional assessment of practice will be undertaken by practice assessors who will make recommendations to the University. Undergraduate students must also complete a dissertation (10,000 words) on social work practice.
