Dynamics of Memories

You are warmly invited to this two-day series of talks and seminars, a launch pad for the Dynamics of Memories group, bringing together scholars from Lancaster and elsewhere in Britain and Europe. The event addresses debates about the place of the social in the constitution of memory, and the role of contested and convergent memories in the formation of individual, group and national identities. Dynamics of Memories comprises members from several Lancaster departments and faculties. The event is sponsored by the IAS and the Humanities in the European Research Area, and is supported by FASS, History, DELC, Sociology, and the Centre for Law and Society.
