Disability - Spaces and Places of Exclusion SymposiumDate: 16 April 2012 Time: 12.00 pm -13.00pm Venue: Bailrigg Conference Centre The aim of the day is to bring together disability studies scholars to consider and reflect upon issues of disability, space and place. The format of the day would be to have opportunities for (short) presentations and discussions . Some of the key themes we are considering are: 1: geographies of disability and changing relations of space and place; 2. disability policy, spaces of work and workfare restructuring; 3. disability activism; and 4. other intersecting considerations. Professor Rob Imrie, Kings College, London, will be giving an opening keynote address.
