CeMoRe Postgraduate & Post-Doctoral Study
Doctoral study
CeMoRe welcomes applications from well-qualified applicants to undertaken doctoral work in the general area of 'mobilities research'. There is already a critical mass of people working on such areas.
You would normally be supervised by 1 or 2 academic staff attached to
the Centre. You would be registed either in Sociology or in the department
where your main supervisor is based. In either case you would be a member
of CeMoRe and would be encouraged to particiapte in the various seminars,
workshops and conferences that take place. Please contact John
Urry if you have a project in mind and we will suggest appropriate
supervisors.
A number of research students undertaking doctorates elsewhere spend short
periods of time in CeMoRe. Details about making a short visit to CeMoRe
Post-Doctoral study
CeMoRe welcomes applications from well-qualified applicants to undertaken
post-doctoral work in 'mobilities'. As a member of CeMoRe you would be
encouraged to participate in the various seminars, workshops and conferences
that take place, and indeed might help to organise such events. There
are at any time 2-3 post-doctoral researchers working in CeMoRe.
