Visiting Scholar from University of CanberraDate: 9 April 2010 Dr. Anni Dugdale from the University of Canberra is an internationally recognised feminist scholar in the area of science and technology studies, particularly around issues of women's health. She'll be within the Sociology department as a visiting scholar throughout July 2010 exploring her current research on citizen/consumer health organisations and their use of ICT to participate in health policy making and service delivery/governance. "It is very exciting to be here in such a thriving sociology program with such great focus on gender and on social studies of science and technology which is where my interests have long been". Dr. Dugdale would welcome the opportunity to discuss any research in the areas of governance/participatory society, gender/feminism/queer studies or STS with colleagues or research postgrads, please contact her through the Sociology department.
