Current Activity
here@Lancaster staff in the centre have published widely in the field of higher education research, and many of our evaluative reports are available in the public domain. We continue to work in both these areas.
Current projects include the following:
- Pedagogic quality and inequality in university first degrees
- PALETTE (Pedagogically sustained Adaptive Learning through the Expolitation of Tacit and Explicit knowledge)
- Student Engagement
- Strategic Development Project Evaulation
Staff research and report findings both within and collaborate across these areas of activity.
Study for a PhD in Higher Education
We teach a dedicated Doctoral Program in Educational Research. Course members are professionals in different areas of higher education, for example lecturers, staff developers, managers, administrators and researchers.
This is a four-year programme, the first two years of which are taught. Its aim is to develop research skills into higher education and to ensure that course members can conduct high-quality research resulting in publications of the higher standard and having an impact which benefits higher education departments, institutions and systems.
Current members are drawn from around the world and from different types of Higher Education Institution.
