Purpose

Exploring and developing practical partnerships with organisations and individuals within the public forum working on varieties of inclusive politics for peace. Definitely including but not limited to faith-based organisations.

The purpose is to build relationships with agencies and actors with similar or complementary goals and aims as the RI within the overall ambit of initiatives for peace, including potential and actual financial supporters. Collaboration in thinking, methodology, skills utilisation, sharing and development will be encouraged, including, where helpful, working together on joint projects.

Aims

Connecting rigorous academic research with the real needs of peace practitioners throughout the demographic and geographic spheres of society. The provision and development of an inclusive politics for peace, with one strand to be kenotics: an inclusive love-based politics for peace.

Objectives

To discover and encourage individuals and agencies currently engaged in practical peace-orientated initiatives; to specify pressing topics and questions needing further research; to identify higher academic educational and development needs among practitioners on the ground, particularly those that can be met by postgraduate Distance Learning within the RI; the setting up of a Distance Learning module to this end.
