Affiliations

Politics, Philosophy and Religion

Kunal's research interests revolve primarily around contemporary Islamist Movements, Religion and Politics, Global Security, International Relations of the Asia Pacific, International Relations of South Asia and Contemporary China. His PhD research was a comparative study between Islamism in Pakistan and Islamism in Britain. His current research looks at Islamist secessionist movements in China and India's contested borderland regions mainly Xinjiang and Kashmir.
