Research PapersCohesive or resilient communities? The role of culture and transformation' This report by Diana Martin discusses the national problems of community cohesion and racism, and offers new evidence about inter-group relations in Lancaster based on original interviews and statistical evidence. The report makes a significant contribution to our understanding of community cohesion in the local context. Diana is an alumnus of the Institute, graduating with an MA in Conflict Resolution with Skills in 2004. Richardson Institute Papers are an occasional series of research reports prepared by our staff, postgraduate students and research associates.
