What is Bioart?

Summary: This collaborative project focusses on the contemporary visibility and proliferation of bioart, 'bioart' being the label for the intersection of the creative arts and those much discussed, contemporary technologies aiming to separate and reconfigure the relationship between life and organism.

Project Description

This project emerges from ongoing collaboartions with Karen Rader, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Charles Zerner, Sarah Lawrence College, which were first developed in the context of the Thinking about Biology and Politics Today symposium, and futher developed during the Art, Politics and the Life Sciences workshops.
