Career details

Dr Sadie Williams is an experienced researcher within CSET, the Centre for the Study of Education and Training, which is an independent unit within the Department of Educational Research at Lancaster University. Her main focus is on research into and evaluation of educational and professional initiatives and the use of formative evaluation within project development. She has a particular interest in leadership and management.

She has undertaken a wide range of research, evaluation and consultancy activities in the areas of education and training and has worked with:

  • Universities and other higher education institutions
  • Schools and colleges at the secondary level
  • Further and adult education
  • Private sector companies
  • LEAs
  • The NHS
  • Charitable foundations eg the King's Fund
  • Government departments including the DfES, the Scottish Funding Council, HEFCE, etc.
  • The Workplace Basic Skills Network
  • NGOs: including the Qualification and Curriculum Authority (QCA), the Council for Excellence in Management and Leadership (CEML), the Higher Education Academy and the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS)

She is able to offer a range of research and evaluation activities to outside clients and would welcome any enquiries.
