The Department is not currently recruiting to the MA in Adult Basic Literacy and ESOL. ABE05: Debates in ESOL Teaching and ResearchModule Tutor: Kathy Pitt Module Aims:This on-line course introduces Adult Basic Education professionals to basic concepts of action research and evaluation. It offers practical strategies for formulating research problems, designing empirical investigations in their working context and hands-on experience of designing and carrying out one such investigation. The course has an induction day at the beginning, followed by on-line Sessions covering: Module Syllabus:

Course participants must contribute at least 1,000 words to the a-synchronous discussions during the course sessions. These contributions are qualificatory only and will not be assessed, but participants will be encouraged to build on them in their end of course assignment. |
