Crystal Valcin
Graduated in 2008
My name is Crystal Valcin and I graduated from Lancaster in 2008. I had a wonderful time on the Psychology in Education course and it has really fuelled my passion for getting involved in the education sector. Since then I have travelled a bit, my most memorable trip being to China. I also started work as a learning support assistant at an inner city London school where I worked for one year. During that time I became heavily involved in the Red Cross where I trained to be an emergency responder which was a fabulous experience as I got to go to really interesting places including Buckingham Palace where I helped to run the first aid post there. Since then I have gone on to do a Postgraduate Certificate in Education at the University of Cambridge and am now a qualified Primary teacher. I am now working as a supply teacher whilst doing a Masters in Education at Cambridge which I am really enjoying. My hope for the future is to go into the field of educational and child psychology. Lancaster was a really memorable experience which I will never forget!
