Jennifer Waite (Stoker)

Graduated in 2007

Jennifer StokerI came to Lancaster University because it was important for me to be at a university that really cares about its students, and takes pride in doing so. To find a university that relishes students, their opinions, their thoughts and their feelings is really unique, and Lancaster University aims to do all four.

I recently completed the Psychology in Education course within the Educational Research Department. The department is everything I've mentioned and the Psychology in Education course I think is truly excellent, especially for those people who, like me, are interested in becoming Educational Psychologists. In the first year you cover a wide span of really interesting topics and the way you are taught is broken up into lectures, seminars and lab classes. This variety in teaching methods enables you to really get involved in your subject and is especially great if you are the type of student that needs more than just lectures.

From my current experience, Lancaster University and the Educational Research department have been for me the best academic decision I have made up to date and I hope if you decide to come to Lancaster, your experience will be just as great as mine.
