Student Representation

The Department makes major decisions about its own running and future academic policy in the Department Meetings held at least once a term.  Students are represented in these meetings by formally elected Student Representatives, from each year of study, who have a full vote on all non-confidential business.

Student Representatives also sit on the Teaching Committee and Staff-Student Consultative Committee, each of which meet once a term. A list of Student Representatives' names and photos is posted on the student notice-board, plus details of how you can contact your representative. You can also leave messages for the Staff-Student Consultative Committee on the LUVLE page. The student Reps’ contribution is essential to the Department, and we value the time and effort they put into this responsibility.
