He is the author of The Histrionic Sensibility: Theatricality and Identity from Corneille to Rousseau; Freedom, Slavery, and Absolutism: Corneille, Pascal, Racine and The Enlightenment Qur'an: The Politics of Translation and the Construction of Islam.
