Postgraduate Fees and Funding: English & Creative Writing (2013 Entry)The Department of English and Creative Writing is pleased to announce a range of funding opportunities for students wishing to progress to MA or PhD level in 2013-14. MA Funding1 x AHRC Research Preparation Masters Award (English Literature). The full AHRC awards for 2013/14 will include a fee waiver and maintenance award. In 2012 the maintenance award was £9,490 for Masters students. Maintainence rates for 2013/14 are yet to be announced by the AHRC. MA awards will be made for one year, subject to satisfactory progress. * *(Subject to AHRC Spending Review) Details of the provision and funding offered by the AHRC are available on the AHRC website: http://www.ahrc.ac.uk/Funding-Opportunities/Postgraduate-funding/Pages/Postgraduate%20funding.aspx Applicants wishing to be considered for this award must hold a firm offer of a place. Applicants should apply the appropriate application form available here Eligibility: UK and EU students resident in the UK for 3 years (full award); EU students not resident in the UK for 3 years (fees only). The deadline for AHRC applications to be received by Leila Atkinson is Thursday 14th March 2013. 2 x FASS (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences) MA Fees Bursaries for UK/EU Students: These awards, available to UK/EU students only, take the form of a full fee waiver. Please see here for the terms and conditions of these awards and here for the application form. The deadline for submission of these applications to Leila Atkinson is 31st May 2013. 2 x FASS (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences) MA Fees Bursaries for Overseas Students. These awards are avaialble to Overseas (non UK/EU) applicants and take the form of a full fee waiver. Please see here for the terms and conditions of these awards and here for the application form. The deadline for submission of these applications to Leila Atkinson is 31st May 2013. 2 x FASS (Faculty of Arts and Social Scicences) 1 + 3 MA Fees Bursaries. These awards are available to UK/EU applicants wishing to undertake an MA and then progress to a PhD in the Department. They take the form of a full fee waiver for both MA and PhD tuition fees. Please note that successful applicants will normally be required to undertake some teaching in the Department as a condition of the award when they progress to their PhD.
